Apex Legends has several settings to help you fine-tune your aim, but Nick 'NICKMERCS' Kolcheff showed off the colorblind mode setting that helped him land his shots more accurately in Season 10 .
Having the right aiming settings for a first-person shooter can be the difference between winning and losing fights. You might have natural aiming ability, but if the settings you're using aren't suited to your playstyle, you might get in the way.
NICKMERCS found he missed more than his fair share of shots in Apex Legends on his current settings, but with a few tweaks he found that one of the game's color blindness options actually helped. /P>
Nick said in his video, "Now the other day I was having trouble hitting certain shots with certain views in the Apex game. I looked at a few other streamers, you know, controllers, and I see them all playing on this colorblind mode. So I turn it on, right? And after turning it on... I didn't miss it!
These settings are traditionally intended for gamers with disabilities who suffer from color blindness and have trouble distinguishing certain colors from each other.
After nick jokingly had a few attempts to pronounce the setting name, we can confirm that the setting name is Tritanopia . The game's official description says, "It 'compensates for a blue-yellow color deficit'.
Nick added more on the setting saying, “It’s fire! It does make things a bit colorful, but if you can get past that, then I think the view being a different color, it works for me.
We'll just give you a quick walkthrough of how to enable this setting to hopefully improve your aim in Apex Legends.
Here's how to enable the Tritanopia setting:
It should now be equipped, and you can go test out the changes to see if the color differences make a huge difference to your gameplay.
