Given the popularity of these Fortnite events, it might seem unusual for Epic to pass up easy wins. Well, the truth is, it's probably time to take a break from the current Fortnite content cycle. Here's why we don't think Fortnite will have an end-of-season event, and why we think it's a good thing!
Fortnite events are often the pinnacle of any new season. As we near the end of Chapter 3 Season 1, chances are we won't see any new events to help usher in Season 2, but why?
No event files were discovered based on the content released in Fortnite update 19.40, which is considered the end of the season. As a result, there is unlikely to be a spectacular finale for Season 1 and the start of Season 2.
We may have a brief cinematic to help tie the story together and transfer players into the next chapter. Because recent events have been of the highest quality, many players have found themselves conflicted.
However, organizing these events is a difficult task, and as Fortnite Chapter 3 progresses, time and money are becoming increasingly scarce. It makes perfect sense not to generate anything to ensure the quality and long-term support of the chapter.
Epic did a great job of ensuring that Chapter 2 ended on a high note and that players would come back in droves for Chapter 3. The problem generated by Chapter 2, on the other hand, was the expectation that the events unfold at the end. of each season. There was anticipation of a contract with a third party to provide a big event, similar to what they did with Ariana Grande, if not at the end of the season.
The plot of Chapter 3 is moving slowly, but it will pick up soon, and it will be the perfect time for a major event. While there were some disgruntled community members, it's also worth noting that the move to Chapter 3 took place over a year.
It makes more sense to give it up completely instead of giving it half the effort you might be putting in a few months down the road. I am excited to welcome fortnite Season 2 to the game and am curious how they will handle the transition.
