Like every year in December, Spotify reveals its top most listened to songs of the year . And in 2020, what is the music that arrives in position number 1?
2020 has been a year full of twists and turns, and not necessarily always in a good way. But if there's one thing that didn't disappoint us, it's the musical releases of the year. But among the huge amount of songs that rocked this chaotic year, there is one that takes all the bets and climbs to the top of the Spotify chart of the most listened songs of 2020. So what title will succeed Señorita the song by Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello which accumulated more than a billion plays on the platform last year?
This year, the big winner is... The Weeknd ! His title Blinding Lights from his album After Hours has been listened to nearly 1.6 billion times on Spotify in the world. Moreover, this opus is the second album most streamed in 2020. The gold medal goes to Bad Bunny, including the album YHLQMDLG has been listened tonearly 3.3 billion times. Proof of the good health of the Spotify service since these streams are counted thanks to their duration and the number of paying subscribers who are responsible for them!
Like no one seems to delete their Spotify account, or in any case cancel their premium subscription.
In France, the title Organized Gang performed by 13 Organized, Elams, Houari, Jul, Kofs, Naps, SCH, Solda and Soso Maness is the most listened music, followed by Blinding Lights by The Weeknd .
