Most of the clutter in iTunes resides in the dropdown media menu, and that's the menu we're going to clean up.
With the app open, locate the type of media library you're looking at in the upper left corner.
Expand the menu, and click Edit Menu at the bottom of the list. You will see a new list with 10 different libraries. Each library has a checkbox next to it.
Uncheck the check box for each library you want to disable. You can't disable music because it is the default setting for the app.
