One way to solve this problem is to “sift through” and separate the quality movies from the not-so-quality ones. But that can take a long time. Wouldn't it be amazing if there was a tool that handles all of that for you?
Well, thanks to a user on Reddit, that tool now exists.
Cinesift is an amazing website that pulls data from IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic, and Letterboxd to calculate an aggregate score for each movie in their databases. Finally, one place to get accurate movie quality ratings!
You can add movies to personal lists:Watch List, Seen, and Favorites. Or you can discard the movies you don't intend to watch.
But even more useful is Cinesift's search function., that finds the best movies for you to watch based on your preferences:genres, release years, and how much weight you give each of the sites used to calculate aggregate scores.
