CDV is Riot's year-long global tournament. There are 3 main levels of this tournament Challengers, Masters and Champions. Stage 3 of the NA Challengers is fast approaching. This tournament will lead into the international Masters Stage 3 tournament which will take place in September in Berlin, Germany. Unlike Masters Reykjavík, Berlin will feature 16 teams from North America, EMEA, Brazil, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
In the semi-finals of the VCT Masters 3 Berlin, 2 matches were played.
Card 1 (Breeze): In the first half of the map, Gambit took a slight lead over G2 with a 7-5 half. Gambit managed to close the map with a score of 13-10.
Map 2 (Coolhouse): This card was one of a kind. G2 had no responses to flanking anti-flanking nAts. Gambit won the clear card, the 1st time a team has managed to win a clear card on an international stage. Gambit humiliated G2 with a score of 13-0.
Map 3 (Ascension): Gambit won the first two maps so the third map was not played.
Map 1 (Refuge): 100T won the first 3 rounds of the half, but after that Envy won the remaining 9 rounds. In the second half, Envy closed the card with the score at 13-5.
Map 2 (Ascension): Envy also started this map strong. Envy took the half with a score of 7-5. In the second half, Envy managed to win 5 rounds in a row. Envy wrapped up the map with a score of 13-8.
Map 3 (Coolhouse): Envy won the first two maps so the third map was not played.
