CDV is Riot's year-long global tournament. There are 3 main levels of this tournament Challengers, Masters and Champions. Stage 3 of the NA Challengers is fast approaching. This tournament will lead into the international Masters Stage 3 tournament taking place in September in Berlin, Germany. Unlike Masters Reykjavík, Berlin will feature 16 teams from North America, EMEA, Brazil, Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
On Day 1 of VCT Masters 3 Berlin, 3 Games were played.
Map 1 (link): Acend dominated the first half and finished the card with a 10-2 half. Acend closed the card comfortably with a score of 13-5.
Map (Ascension): Acend continues its dominance in the second half and wins the first 5 rounds but SMB comes back stronger and wins 7 conservative rounds. Then Acend picked up their pace and finished the map with a 13-9 scoreboard.
Map 3 (Coolhouse): Acend won the first 2 maps so map 3 was not played.
Map 1 (Ascension): G2 totally dominated the game and took the half with a score of 11-1. G2 finished the map with a score of 13-5.
Map 2 (link): G2 managed to win the pistol round and the round after, but F4Q then took control of the half and ended the half with the score at 8-4. F4Q won the map with a promising score of 13-9.
Map 2 (Refuge): G2 managed to get the first half in their favor with a score of 7-5 and twisted the map and the game with a score of 13-8.
Map 1 (Ascension): Havan Liberty just topped 100T in the first two laps, but after that it was all 100T and more Havan Liberty. 100T dominated the game and twisted the game with a score of 13-3.
Map 2 (Coolhouse): 100 Thieves dominated the map from the start, Havan Liberty put up some resistance and managed to put 4 rounds in his pocket. 100T finished the match with a score of 13-6.
Map 2 (Refuge): 100 thieves won the first 2 cards so card 3 was not played.
