Call of Duty Warzone bans over 60,000 accounts in the remaining third wave. This comes after Activision eliminated over 70,000 cheaters in the first two phases. Because the developers are looking more serious this time around, the ban would be permanent, according to Vice reports.
Pro-gamer Vikkstar publicly announced on his Twitter that the Call of Duty Warzone is in the worst possible shape. So, blaming hackers and cheaters, he takes off from Warzone. He tweeted,
Sources confirm that developers, to root out hacking accounts, targeted cheaters using EngineOwning. "We are working to update the cheat", say the cheat developers on the EngineOwning site.
The other side of the story is the irrelevant banning of other gaming accounts. Many people, mostly account holders, on the official EngineOwning discord criticized this incident. Hacks banned by Activision include Aimbots, Wallhacks, Trainers, Stat Hacks, Texture Hacks, Ranking Hacks, Injectors, Hex Editors.
Call of Duty:Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale video game released on March 10, 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows. The game is part of the 2019 title Call of Duty:Modern Warfare but does not require purchase and is introduced during Season 2 of Modern Warfare content.
