As announced on For the record, Spotify has launched an all-new audio experience that combines music and chat content.
You play it like you would any other podcast. The difference is that when a song starts playing in the podcast, Spotify displays all the track and artist information as if you were playing the song separately.
You can like, save and share this song directly from the player without having to leave the podcast.
Just tap Explore Episode on the episode page or tap the playbar to view the list of episode tracks. This allows you to move between different sections of the show and analyze the songs used.
This format can mainly be used by Spotify Premium users. They will hear the full songs being played, while those in the free tier will only have a 30-second preview of the music.
Some Spotify Original shows that take advantage of this feature include Rock This With Allison Hagendorf, Our Love Song, and Halleloo Happy Hour with DJ Shangela.
To browse the list of shows using this new format, head over to Shows with Music Hub.
If you would like to create one of these podcasts incorporating Spotify music, you can do so easily and for free using Anchor.
