Last year, to please my girlfriend, I promised to throw her a memorable party on her next birthday. And as this date is fast approaching, I must keep my commitment. She kindly reminded me of it.
Of all the birthday parties we were invited to, I remember that it was during the themed and fancy dress parties that my girlfriend had the most fun. Lately, she really enjoyed the Brazilian evening, organized by one of her work colleagues. To surprise her, I have to opt for a themed birthday party. And, fortunately, I have enough space in my apartment to accommodate everyone. I no longer need to look for a room that will host the party and can thus devote all my time to the decoration, the selection of the menu, without forgetting the animation. And for the theme of the event, I hesitate a lot between two scenarios.
First, a totally white birthday which I think will not fail to seduce her for its chic and VIP side. However, having still kept her teenage soul, my girlfriend also loves everything pink. The problem is that I have never been drawn to this color and I do not see myself organizing a party under this theme, even if it is for the beautiful eyes of my lover. But now, D-Day is in a few weeks and I still haven't made up my mind. So as not to delay too much in the preparations, I then ask the opinion of her best friend. His choice is final. The festivities will be under the signs of the color pink.
Having no idea what to do for an entirely pink and girly evening, I am assisted by a cousin in the organization of the party. But the advantage is that with this theme, there is no longer any need to rack your brains, especially for the decoration of the living room. We are simply going to exploit the color pink in all its shades and variations. Cherry, fuchsia, parma, pale or even salmon, it will be an overdose of pink guaranteed for this evening.
Except for the tablecloth, which I chose in white, so that the flower petals, as well as the disposable tableware for a birthday, of course in pink can stand out. Otherwise, to decorate the chairs, I will attach candy pink scarves to them, matched with curtains of the same color to highlight the sofas and armchairs.
For the menu, fortunately, there is no shortage of foods bearing this color. It will be a cocktail buffet composed, among other things, of smoked salmon toast, without forgetting the taramasalata and lumpfish egg canapes. In addition, as there is a lot of pink charcuterie, I also intend to offer a small assortment of Bayonne ham, flavored garlic sausage, pork mortadella and sausage, even if the latter tends more towards red. Finally, on the drink side, I'm going to serve sangria made from rosé wine, also sparkling rosé and the woman in question loves the Lambrusco.
