Many major titles have been adapted from your PC or game console into comic book format, with invariably good results, though not always as immersive as the original.
Where should you start?
With its humorous take on the space western genre and its refreshing mix of RPG and FPS, the Borderlands games have proven to be one of the most successful games in history.

Based on the 2007 action RPG of the same name for Windows, set in post-apocalyptic London, it is a four-issue comic book adaptation by Ian Edgington and illustrated by Steve Pugh.
This particular adaptation adds a slightly different look to the game, but while the narration and dialogue may lack the energy of Pugh's artwork, it's certainly worth checking out. Copies of the collected graphic novel can be found on Amazon along with individual issues.
Released through Dark Horse Comics, this edition was included in the game's Collector's Edition release. In addition to the comic series, a novel trilogy, written by Mel Odom, was also published.
Probably not the most obvious gaming franchise to become a graphic novel, Street Fighter is best known for its focus on fighting and a variety of characters that could potentially win them all, assuming you knew the right combinations for their best moves (or were happy) to smash the keyboard without prejudice or skill).
First released in 2003, the currently 54-issue comic series offers a detailed, character-driven narrative of the events of the games. It's an interesting approach, one that has resulted in a popular series that ran until 2010 and was revived in 2013.
The best place to start this series is at the very beginning, and you can pick up Street Fighter Classic:Hadoken Volume 1 on Amazon.
It wasn't one of Marvel's mutant teams from the 1980s, but rather the group of heroes that starred in a couple of real-time tactical RPGs from 2002 (Freedom Force) and 2005 (Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich). Led by The Minuteman with other garbage-laden Marvel and DC Comics items, a comic book adaptation of the first game was released in 2005, partially in promotion of the sequel, through Image Comics.
Extremely hard to come by (although you can find them on eBay from time to time), Freedom Force's six-issue series features Jack Kirby-esque artwork (like the game itself) by Tom Scioli and a sextet of impressive covers. /P>

First released in 1999 on the original PlayStation, the series has continued on all formats including PS Vita, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, with a new game expected for PS4 in 2016.
From 2004-2008, the Silent Hill comic series was written by Scott Ciencin with illustrations by Ben Templesmith, Aadi Salman, Shaun Thomas, and Nick Stakal, and published by IDW.

You might well expect a Legend of Zelda comic book series to be as extensive as the game series; you would be correct. Since 1990, Manga adaptations of the RPG series have been published regularly, with series bearing their name and based on the events of the latest installments of the long-running game franchise.
Akira Himekawa, Yuu Mishouzaki, and Aturu Cagiva have all contributed stories and adaptations to the comic series, which is as much a part of the Zelda franchise as the games.
Be warned:this is not a comic series you can dive into. With over 20 years of stories and adaptations, you'll have to tread carefully so you don't feel completely overwhelmed! Several collected releases are available on Amazon.

In addition to these games, a collection of spin-off media has been released, of which web comics and print comics have been a key element.
Among the most interesting are David Gaider's Dragon Age:The Revelation, which was released on BioWare's website in 2010, and the print releases; a six-part IDW series and a trio of graphic novels, with Orson Scott Card contributing to the series.
