After an issue with Gamora's The Godslayer pickaxe in Fortnite, Epic Games changed the animation. Because of this, players can now return the Marvel-themed harvesting tool for free.
Fortnite has received another Marvel skin featuring Gamora from Guardian's of the Galaxy. In this bundle were Gamora's comic outfit, Cape, Glideboard, and The Godslayer sword.
However, Godslayer's harvesting tool didn't behave like a sword, so Epic Games adjusted its animation. Now, if players aren't happy with the change, they can return the Godslayer for free.
In a Tweet on September 1, Epic Games announced that:"Due to a change in the animation of the pickaxe 'The Godslayer', all players who own it before the v17.50 update (August 31, 2021) will be able to make this item without using a return ticket. »
The accompanying sword, the Godslayer Pickaxe, behaved similarly to Thor's Hammer . So, using Godslayer, you'd be swinging it one-handed, tossing it from hand to hand like Mjolnir.
Epic Games has now fixed this issue and Godslayer is now swinging two-handed like a broadsword. Due to the change, Epic is allowing players to return the pickaxe and collect their V-Bucks for free.
Thanks to Fornite's settings, players have three chances to return any bundle or item they choose. Since Epic made a significant change to the Godslayer Pickaxe, any player who owned it before the 17.50 update on August 31 can return it without using a ticket.
You only have 30 days after your next login to return The Godslayer, so you'll have to decide quickly if you want to keep it.
It's also worth noting that if you purchased the Gamora set, you'll likely forgo the set. However, if you just purchased the Godslayer Sword alone, you'll get all 800 V-Bucks back.
