PUBG Universe x Adi Shankar:Krafton announces collaboration with Adi Shankar to create PUBG animation project

PUBG creator Krafton Inc. recently announced that it will be collaborating with Indian-American film producer Adi Shankar to expand the world of PUBG and bring it into the animation genre. The announcement comes several days after the announcement of the collaboration with South Korean actor Don Lee.

It seems quite impossible to end the popularity of PUBG even after the game was banned in several countries due to security threats or health issues. Player's Unknown Battlegrounds was developed by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean gaming company known as Krafton (formerly Bluehole) which also created Battlegrounds Mobile India, a region-specific battle royale game for Indians . Initially, PUBG was released in PC versions and later brought to Mobile and Consoles by Krafton. The mobile version of PUBG had crossed 1 billion downloads worldwide and currently there would be hardly any gaming enthusiast who did not play this game.

Krafton gave us another reason to keep the game's momentum alive by announcing the collaboration with Adi Shankar. Previously, Krafton collaborated with popular K-POP brand 'Blackpink' and American automotive company Tesla. With such diverse collaborations, Krafton is ensuring gamers are hooked on the game.

Although the details of the animated project have not yet been shared by Krafton, it is safe to assume that we could see a movie or an anime adaptation of PUBG. This project will certainly be a boost for the popularity of the game which had seen a slight decline recently with the emergence of new battle royale games such as Free Fire and Valorous.

CH Kim, CEO of PUBG Corporation, also shared his views on collaborating with Shankar. He said –

“In addition to the continued development of new and engaging in-game PUBG content, our partnership with Adi Shankar represents a step into our broader strategy of expanding the PUBG Universe into a multimedia franchise. “We are excited to work with Shankar on exploring and realizing a world that brings the game to life for our fans. We look forward to sharing more about this animated project in the near future.”

PUBG has become more than just a game for gamers. The platform it provides to game lovers encourages them to pursue a career in the esports industry which has seen tremendous growth in recent times. If the world of PUBG has a vibrant life, fans of the game will be elated.
