The developers of the famous battle royale title, PUBG Mobile, had recently filed a lawsuit against a group of members accused of developing cheat tools for players. Krafton emerged victorious in the lawsuit and he was told that the game's cheat creators will have to pay $10 million in compensation.
PUBG Mobile has been repeatedly criticized for being a hacker game despite the efforts made by the developers. From issuing ban reports to strengthening their anti-cheat system, the developers have spared no effort to provide a free and fair game to its legitimate users. It had also introduced the Device Ban feature, which gamers considered very necessary in the game. Following this feature, the developers filed a lawsuit against the cheat makers as a crucial step towards banning hackers.

Several players have manipulated different matches in PUBG Mobile and turned the situation in their favor after using some illegal files. Taking strict action against those who are engaged in promoting such hacks, Krafton and Tencent Games had filed a petition and federal courts in the United States and Germany announced their decision in favor of both companies.
As a result, the PUBG Mobile cheat group was fined $10 million for the damages caused. The company has informed players that this amount will be used to strengthen the anti-cheat system and bring advanced technology to completely remove hackers from the game. The group was also asked to provide details on how they were able to exploit the game using their files.
Following his victory in the lawsuit, Tencent Games producer of PUBG Mobile, Rick Li said in a statement, “Millions of gamers around the world are enjoying PUBG Mobile and we will ensure a level playing field for everyone. Unfortunately, the actions of hacker groups undermine the fairness of the game. These judgments send a clear message that we will not tolerate cheating in PUBG Mobile.
Tencent and Krafton's victory in this lawsuit comes after Activision's lawsuit against members accused of developing cheats for Call of Duty Warzone. Such a move has been welcomed by gamers as the developers attempt to root out the root cause of the use of hacks in the game.
This move also sent a warning message to cheat creators in other games. It can be expected that a famous battle royale game such as PUBG Mobile where piracy had become a troublesome issue will finally be able to provide a fair and legitimate gaming atmosphere to all of its players.
