It's official, the Green Goblin has taken his hunt for Spider-Man to Fortnite Island, bringing along his Goblin Glider and a few other nifty tricks. The notorious rogue's arrival was expected, given recent Fortnite leaks that featured the Green Goblin skin.
Notably, the leaks in question started making the rounds just over a week ago, prematurely releasing first-look images of the character's cosmetics and items in-game.
Leak or no leak, Green Goblin's Fortnite debut seemed inevitable, especially considering Spider-Man's arrival on the island late last year. The header joined the Battle Royale experience developed by Epic Games in December 2021, launched alongside the long-awaited Chapter 3 content.
Shortly after its introduction, Epic released Spider-Man:No Way Home skins for Spidey and MJ. With tons of Spidey characters making their way across Fortnite's all-new map, it was only a matter of time before one of the hero's biggest rivals slithered onto the scene.
Today, January 27, Epic Games revealed the Green Goblin Outfit and Green Goblin Set items in the Fortnite Item Shop. The various items that come with the nightmarish green and purple outfit include the Goblin Glider, the P'axe Pumpkin, the Back Bling Pumpkin Bomb, and finally, the Pumpkin Arm! Emote.
Players interested in content can either purchase these new villainous additions a la carte, with the Bling outfit and back paired together, or all together in the Green Goblin Bundle. Those who collect the bundle will also have access to the following Goblin loading screen.
Introduction, Green Goblin took a while to arrive. After all, the iconic Marvel rogue fits right into battle royale, and her gliding abilities should make already intense matches all the more exciting. It will be interesting to see how players use it over time.
Since the advent of Fortnite Chapter 3, Epic Games has made a few other notable additions to the experience. For one, the fan-favorite Tilted Towers locale returned over a week ago in version 19.10.
This same update also dropped Klombo onto the island, allowing the dinosaur-like creature to roam various parts of the map at will. According to recent leaks, Epic's plans for the near future stretch even further, with characters such as Hawkeye (Clint Barton) and Kate Bishop supposedly set to star in upcoming Fortnite crossover content.
