With Fortnite, almost everything leaks, but usually not at such a rapid rate as we've seen recently. A trio of high profile crossovers seem set to come to Fortnite, with at least some of them possibly arriving as early as this week. The leaks credibly point to Marvel's Green Goblin and Hawkeye, as well as Riot's Arcane, all of which are coming to the Item Shop this month. Here's a breakdown of each leaked crossover.
Late last year, Fortnite's Jinx skin marked the debut of a Riot Games character appearing in a non-Riot game, and now we're already getting another character from Riot and Netflix production, Arcane. This time it looks like Vi will be joining the fray, according to credible leaks that have gone so far as to show the character in-game.
Vi is Jinx's sister in the Netflix anime series Arcane, which is set in the world of League of Legends. There's no known release date yet, but these kinds of in-game leaks usually imply an imminent release, no later than the next week or two.
A trio of Marvel characters were also accidentally revealed, including two heroes straight out of the Disney+ catalog. Since it seems like every Marvel launch now includes a Fortnite collaboration, it might have felt odd when Hawkeye debuted on Disney+ without such a crossover. Turns out the Hawkeye crossover is on the way after all.
The leak is said to include both versions of Hawkeye, Clint and Kate, and include accessories for each. Although it hasn't been confirmed yet, we can assume that a bundle featuring both heroes will also be sold in the Item Shop. The characters will be modeled after their MCU counterparts, marking only the fourth and fifth Fortnite characters to be designed this way (Venom, Spider-Man No Way Home, MJ), although the full list of all Fortnite Marvel skins so far 'now is much longer).
The latest leak prematurely revealed Green Goblin, Spider-Man's most formidable foe. While this release brings more of a comic than Willem Dafoe's beloved rendition, it's no surprise that Green Goblin is coming in one form or another, especially since his likeness is currently featured in an easter egg on the Fortnite island.
Every new fortnite content update opens the door for dataminers to try to separate game files and find new surprises like these, and once we see them in-game, like we have here, they're just about confirmed. Look for these characters who will debut at different times over the next two weeks.
