Today, depending on the contract you choose, Netflix can cost between 7.99 and 15.99 euros per month. A price that could still increase , according to Alex Giaimo, an analyst at Jefferies (a US investment bank), who was able to source a financial report from Netflix for investors. This pundit noted that Netflix execs changed their tune, borrowing a shift in their language elements.
"After a change in language regarding pricing on the (Q2) call, we believe a potential upside is likely in the near to medium term. In Q1, Netflix said they' didn't even think about price increases', while second trimester language was more open" , said Alex Giaimo.
But then, how much could subscriptions increase? Probably from 1 to 2 euros . Which could allow the platform to earn "between 500 million and 1 billion dollars" in addition. Not bad is not it ?
