When Warzone first released in March 2020, the Grau 5.56 was king. With almost no recoil and the cleanest Iron Sight the game had to offer, nearly every player ran the Grau. Now in Season 5, he's received a small buff that's brought him closer to his former glory.
The majority of players now use the Grau as a "fully loaded" weapon, which they can use to get full ammo when grabbing a loadout after returning from the Gulag.

With its large magazine size and low recoil, it's the ultimate weapon for tearing through entire squads in seconds. And curiously, it is the Royal &Croix 4x scope that's more popular, cementing the Stoner as a great long-range option.

Modern Warfare's MP5 dominated the close-range meta for months before Cold War's integration, and it peaked in popularity after Season 4 Reloaded, which continued well into Season 5. .
The MP5 received a nerf in the first Season 5 weapon balancing update, which reduced its pick rate slightly, but not substantially. It has also been discovered that 10mm rounds grant him one of the fastest TTKs in the game, so players are discovering his newfound power.

When paired with a long-range assault rifle like the C58 or a sniper like the Kar98k, the MAC-10 is the perfect pocket weapon. Even though SMGs were hit in the Season 4 Reloaded update, the MAC-10 barely waned in popularity.

If you are looking for a fast and easy to use sniper rifle, the Kar98k is the weapon for you. Although technically a Marksman rifle, this WW2 bolt-action rifle is the best marksman in Warzone.
The Kar98k has solid ADS velocity, and with its high bullet speed, you'll find it much easier to use than most other sniper rifles. You can effectively measure up quickly in close quarters and, by leading your targets, hit nasty long-range shots.

Although underutilized in previous seasons, the Krig 6 became popular and remained number one throughout Season 5. It is one of the easiest to use assault rifles in the game, with barely any recoil and high damage.
The Krig isn't as powerful as the C58 or EM2, but it's so easy to use that players of all skill levels can take advantage of it and laser enemies at any distance.
