The new agent then received an extended official tease in early December during Riot Games' major esports competition, Valorant Champions Tour (VCT), where she made a very brief appearance in a promotional trailer. The voice line of the new agent draws more attention to the fact that she is from the Philippines in her native language while conversing with her mother.
She is the 19th Agent on the roster and a Duelist who will bring broken gameplay to the current scene. She also found her most suitable voice in valorant.
"I'm literally shaking right now, it's the coolest thing ever. Thanks for this amazing feature, @PlayVALORANT!!! I kinda wish the studio still had that badass neon aesthetic (pun intended) whenever I'm there to record their lines haha! the voice actor tweeted earlier.
Vanille Velasquez, an experienced voice actress from the Philippines, voices Neon. She is also Zeri's voice actor in League of Legends.
“I am incredibly honoured, thrilled and PROUD AF to announce that I am the voice of VALORANT Agent 19 NEON! It has been such a dream come true. I'm a bit lost right now. It doesn't seem real. I can't believe I'm actually saying this right now,” she added.
She has previously voiced various anime and video game characters in both English and Tagalog. Being bilingual, she fit the character perfectly.
