After days of anticipation and excitement kept up by the fans, the first day of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Grand Finals kicked off today. The three-day affair features sixteen top PUBG Mobile teams from around the world playing for a $6 million prize pool.
At the end of Day 1, Turkey's Next Ruya Gaming reigns supreme with 76 points. The team managed to pull off 35 eliminations with just one chicken dinner after six games. Fan-favorite China's Nova Esports also come close with 67 points overall, even though the team couldn't win any games. UAE-based team Nigma Galaxy finished the day with 64 points on board.

The first match of the day kicked off with the Erangel map. The action between the teams began when the circle fell on the Sosnovka military base. Stalwart Esports dominated Game 1 with an astonishing 14 finishes. The team retained their entire squad and eliminated equally powerful teams such as Nova and S2G. STE's Skryy won the top results.
The second match of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Grand Finals was played on the Miramar desert map. Thailand star team The Infinity managed to claim the fourth position but they failed to finish. Although Nigma Galaxy looked confident enough to win the match, Alpha7 Esports snatched the Chicken Dinner with 10 finishes.
Sanhok was the third map of the day where the Chicken Dinner was won by Nigma Galaxy after taking 8 finishes and adding 32 points on board. According to Ruya Gaming, the toppers also played well to claim the second position with 11 finishes. In third place stood The Infinite.
The fourth and fifth games of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 Grand Finals were won by Next Ruya Gaming and Western stars Natus Vincere respectively. Both teams put up a dominating performance to secure a decent number of finishes. China's Six Two Eight also made a comeback in the penultimate game.
The sixth and final match of PMGC 2021 Grand Finals took place in Erangel. It was a head-to-head competition between Nova Esports and Furious Gaming. The latter team turned things around by winning the Chicken Dinner as the 1-on-1 situation at the end between PapiPotro and King was won by the former player.
