Which film, produced by Netflix, was unanimous around the world? We now know the answer thanks to a new site that the platform has been offering for a few days . By browsing top10.netflix.com, we discover that the most watched film on the platform is none other than Birdbox ! In France, for example, it is prohibited for children under 16 , which means that a number of platform users have not seen it yet!

As a reminder, Birdbox was released in 2018, on Netflix exclusively (no cinema release, therefore). Directed by Susanne Bier this thriller takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, in a strange phenomenon pushes the population to commit suicide. To avoid his suicidal impulses, the survivors have no choice but to move blindfolded .

The film, which still includes Sandra Bullock and John Malkovich in its cast, received rather lukewarm reviews when it was released. But according to Netflix, that hasn't stopped it from amassing hundreds of millions of viewing hours .

A fairly action-oriented top 10

282,020,000 hours! This is the time Netflix users would have spent in front of Birdbox . For information, the second title on this list is Tyler Rake, an action film with Chris Hemsworth, which has accumulated 231,340,000 hours. The recent Army of the Dead , by Zack Snyder, comes in 8th place, 186,540,000 hours.

As mentioned above, the site also lists the weekly top 10 series. Besides, do you know why some series are released in one block and others are content to offer us one episode per week? We tell you more in this article.
