After the success of Squid Game, the ranking of the most watched series in terms of viewers has been slightly modified.
Squid Game, Casa de Papel, Lupin... Only series that have been wildly successful on Netflix. If the last South Korean production exploded all records, the year 2021 will have seen a few other shows impose themselves which have come to interfere in the TOP 4.
The action series Squid Game was immediately a huge success. Well-paced, a breathtaking scenario and quality acting, all the ingredients were there for the success of this show signed Netflix.
A highly requested Season 2 by Squid Game fans is reportedly already in the director's mind, but this one could take some time to materialize.
But if the South Korean series smashed all records, becoming the most watched of all time on Netflix with nearly 111 million viewers combined, other series are not left out.
But if Squid Game crushes all the competition on Netflix, what are the other series that have been watched by the most people? The silver medal goes to the very romantic show of the Bridgerton Chronicle with 82 million viewers for season 1.
In third place we find the French pride Lupin, played by Omar Sy, who recently signed a long-term contract with the streaming platform (76 million viewers). The Witcher (season 1), with the talented Henry Cavill, tied for third with 76 million viewers. And finally, the sulphurous series Sex Life arrives 5ᵉ with 67 million viewers.
