After installing the Chrome extension, click the button and choose Options . You will need to add your local library for the extension to work. Once you've found your library, simply click the green plus button.
When you start searching for books on Amazon, you'll see on the right whether the book is available in your library, what format it's available in, how many copies are available, and whether it's been checked out. You can also easily place a hold on the hard copy or e-book.
The library extension is available only to Chrome users at this time, but a Firefox extension is in the works. It works with 2,800 libraries in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Germany, the Cayman Islands, and New Zealand.
In addition to working at Amazon, she's also helpful on the Barnes and Noble website, Good Reads, AR BookFinder, and Google Books.
