HBO recently announced that it would air the next six episodes of High Maintenance directly. After the acquisition of the Broad City Comedy Central web series, this is the second time a web series has transitioned to a high-profile cable channel.
Needless to say, this is a show you should be watching.
High maintenance follows a marijuana dealer (whose name we never learn) as he makes deliveries to his various clients throughout New York City. In each episode, which is approximately 15 minutes long, he encounters a new set of characters and situations.
There are 19 pre-HBO episodes available right now, and you can watch all but the final season (which includes the last six episodes) for free on Vimeo.
H+ is an ambitious exploration of a lofty concept:what if humanity became a hive mind via a neural implant that internalized the internet? And what would happen if a virus infected that global neural network? Which strikes me as an extremely promising premise.
The show is produced by Bryan Singer, best known for The Usual Suspects and the recent execution of X Men movies.
These kind of proofs of concept tend to be 95% fouls and 5% home runs, but I'd bet on H+ being the last, especially after watching the first season that was streamed online between 2012 and 2013. A second season is currently in production, but how cool would it be if it aired on Syfy?
The episode structure is a bit unusual, numbering 48 in the first season alone. Each 5-minute episode examines a particular location and time, either before or after the virus has arrived. This is innovative, creative and worth tuning into.

Mystery. Suspense. What the hell is going on? That's pretty much the description of this wonderful web series on Hulu. It stars Xander Berkeley, who starred in 24 as George Mason, and the casting of him is absolutely perfect for this role in The Booth at the End .
What is it about? Well, there is a man who sits at the end booth of a restaurant and it is rumored that he has a gift:he can solve any problem he has. The capture? He must complete the task that he assigns before solving the problem for him, and these tasks are not always particularly pleasant..
There are 10 episodes split between two seasons available on Hulu. There are currently no more episodes scheduled for production, which is sad because the concept of this show is strong enough to continue indefinitely in a procedural format. Maybe one day…
Long story short is a 10-episode comedy series that ended too quickly. Each three-minute episode is a step-by-step commentary by the narrator on a particular task or task that he had to do that day. For example, "I went to the bathroom."
