Fortunately, there are a few tricks you can use to find out what the deleted video was or, with a little extra effort, save information about the video on YouTube.
If there is a video in your playlist that has already been removed, Googling part of the URL can often help you discover its title. Click on the video to open it and copy the identification string of letters and numbers associated with the video into its URL. So if the URL looks like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cceVqWgrhw4&index=70&list=WLYou need to copy this string of letters and numbers:
cceVqWgrhw4Googling that string should reveal the title of the deleted video:
If you don't want to leave things to chance and want to be absolutely sure that you'll be able to figure out what the deleted video is, take a few precautions when adding videos to your playlists.
Add a video to your playlist as you normally would:with the video open, click the add right click below the video title and select your playlist.
Go to the playlist you just added the video to. You can find all your playlists in the menu on the left side under Library.
With the playlist open, hovering over any given video will display a More button with a dropdown menu. Click on that button and select Add / edit notes .
Type in the title, channel, topic, or any other information you want to use to remember the video.
That's it. Now, if a video in one of your playlists is removed from YouTube, you can click the Add/Edit Notes button. Button to extract the information about the video you saved.
You can also go back to your playlists and add notes to all the videos you've already added.
