If you're looking for an easy way to keep up with your favorite YouTube videos, but still work on other things on your computer, there are a couple of add-ons for Firefox that make it easy.

This is a great way to keep watching a video while browsing online. The drawback of this plugin is that it only keeps the video on top of Firefox. If you want to switch to another program or window, it won't stay pinned on top of all your windows.
Moving the window can be a bit buggy, but it is possible to drag it to other parts of the screen. It appears, by default, in the upper left corner of your screen.
If you prefer to keep the YouTube window on top of all your programs, Stay On Top will be a more useful plugin. You can use this plugin to keep a full Firefox window on top of all your other windows. Unlike the previous plugin, the window is not automatically resized. Simply open the YouTube video you want to watch, resize it, and hit the blue button in Firefox.
