PUBG 14.2 Update: PUBG Battlegrounds is back with another update and the latest update is going to introduce two new weapons for the players. The previous update 14.1 saw an overwhelming response from fans mainly due to the pick up and carry feature.

The new updates prove that PUBG is not dying yet and in fact has a long way to go. The previous update was released on PC and consoles on October 4 and 16 following Halloween. Several spooky changes have been made to Erangel, however, the transportation feature has attracted players the most. PUBG 14.2 update added new weapons as weapons are an integral part of a battle royale game.
One of the new weapons added to PUBG PC is the mortar, which randomly spawns with their ammo inside buildings. The weapon can only be deployed on flat surfaces, excluding buildings, wooden floors, water, or concrete floors. Players can shoot between 121m and 700m away. Once deployed, your character will automatically transform into a crouched position.

One of the best weapons ever introduced in PUBG is M79. It is a smoke grenade launcher that can create a thick smoke screen covering a large area, it will help players evade enemies for a while. Once the grenade hits an object more than 10m away, the grenade releases the first smokescreen followed by a second a few seconds later.
This new feature allows players to survive in water a bit longer. When a player enters Swimming DBNO, their swimming speed will decrease to that of normal players, however, the player can be revived by teammates once they reach shore or float above water. If players go underwater in the DBNO state, they will quickly lose HP and instantly help, so it's best to stay on the surface.
PUBG introduced a creature that we all hear when we win a match. Of course, it's chicken! This creature was added to the TAEGO map to create some kind of fun and moreover, the chicken will run in fear when it hears enemy footsteps or grenades. This will help players be aware of enemies.
For normal, custom and ranked matches, a new lobby theme will be applied. The previous lobby theme was designed based on the Halloween festival, and the new lobby will be based on PGC 2021. The Esports section has also been improved, and the full PGC schedule will be provided in-game.
