VALORANT 3.04 patch notes
Valorant Patch 3.04 has finally arrived, and while it might not be the update bringing the new act changes, it does contain additional in-game features that the community has long requested, such as the timeout feature. tactical waiting and some important bugfixes for Agents like Skye and some important in-game changes too.
AGENT UPDATES
Omen had bug fixes where Omen's Dark Cover could travel unintended, resulting in the ability to land differently than where it was aimed.
TECHNICAL GAMEPLAY UPDATES
Improvements have been added to performance statistics and graphs and features such as packet loss outages, download data usage and average packet size, packet send or receive rate, memory used or available have been added. Performance costs for tracking and displaying these stats have been reduced.
ESPORTS FEATURES

- The custom lobby player order will now persist in agent selection screens and in-game for observers.
- Observers will now correctly see Cypher's equipped utility in his hand
- The white dot above a 3rd person player's head no longer displays for observers
- Viper ult will display correctly on the observer minimap
- There will no longer be a short flash for spotters when swapping player targets or swapping players after projectile tracking

Player nameplates will no longer persist on screen for observers tracking projectiles from now on.
QUALITY OF LIFE
- Improved Model Viewer

SOCIAL UPDATES
- Fixed a bug where in some cases player invites would not disappear after being rejected
- Fixed a bug where the loopback test was not working, so you should be able to retest your voice settings
BUG FIXES
AGENTS
- Fixed a bug where the near vision effect is removed when killed inside smoke
- Fixed Viper's fuel will no longer continue to flow after her fumes have died out if she is removed just as she activates the toxic screen or poison cloud.
- KAY/O will no longer equip abilities that have no charges if they were equipped and used right after NULL/cmd
was activated - Other abilities can no longer be placed on Cypher’s Cyber Cage projectile while in the air
- Fixed a bug where buff/debuff timers were not displaying for spectators or observers
- Fixed a bug where the ability UI would show you the removed visual effects if an ally they were spectating at the end of the last turn was removed.
TECHNIQUE DE PLAY
- Fixed an issue that caused attackers to win if all living players died simultaneously before the Spike was planted (e.g. from the same Raze Showstopper)
- The defending team will now win in these rare cases, since they managed to prevent the attackers from planting.
- The behavior is unchanged if one of the teams survives the other – an elimination victory is awarded to the team that survives longer.
- Fixed an issue where disabling "Show Bullet Tracers" would disable everyone's tracers, including your own.
- Disabling the feature will only hide your tracers, but enemy/friendly tracers will still be visible.
- Fixed an issue where some settings were not saved correctly
- This affected stats and performance graphs, as well as some firing range settings.
