Westworld season 4 has been confirmed! While waiting for its release, discover everything we know about this very promising new season!
Westworld has been a hit since the release of its first season in 2016 and quickly became one of HBO's flagship series in line with Game of Thrones ! Created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, produced by J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk, this science fiction series immerses us in a dystopian universe. She makes us follow several ultra-intelligent androids evolving in different amusement parks, including that of Westworld which recreates the universe of the Far West. We give you a little reminder of the last events that happened before the long-awaited release of season 4 and we share with you everything we know about it, let's go!

The final season of Westworld takes place three months after the events of season 2 and takes us away from the Westworld theme park to show us the real world at last in which evolve this time our main protagonists. We remind you what Dolores, Maeve and Bernard did outside the park:
Good news for fans: HBO officially announced the release of a fourth season in full broadcast of season 3!
No release date has been given at this stage, although Thandie Newton announced on Instagram that filming should start soon. Based on the length of time usually separating each season, we can reasonably hope that Season 4 will be released in the spring of 2022. Season 3 had indeed seen the light of day about two years after season 2, which itself was released more than a year and a half after the first season.
Hoping that the health crisis does not delay filming and production of this highly anticipated season, we can assume that fans will have to wait the same amount of time before knowing what becomes of their heroes. The new season will once again broadcast on OCS in US +24 (24 hours after the US release), platform on which you can find the first three seasons in the meantime.
Wondering who will be back in season 4? Yes… because not everyone will be there, as the end of season 3 suggests. (Attention, spoilers!)
We remember that Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood), the main character of the series, was deactivated by Enguerraund Serac (played by Vincent Cassel ). We know that Westworld offers us different time frames, plunging us into many universes spaced out in time. It is therefore not certain that the next season will mark the final departure of Dolores, who could return during flashbacks! Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, however, confirmed during an interview that this character had passed away at the end of season 3:
We can still imagine Evan Rachel Wood returning in the next season to play a new “host”. It seems unlikely that the actress will leave the project, especially since the goal of the showrunners is to lead Westworld up to six seasons and that it is one of its pillars!

We remember that at the end of episode 8 of season 3, Enguerraund Serac (Vincent Cassel) totally erases the memories of Dolores, before his Rehoboam invention was destroyed. Maeve and Caleb eventually joined her cause before she died and therefore decided to sympathize with the human race. William has meanwhile reunited with Charlotte, who is raising new hosts.
After the chaos caused by the revolution of Dolores, Charlotte could now take over and put the few remaining hosts back in the spotlight. No information having been communicated by the showrunners for the sequel, the scenarios are open…
Will Dolores return in another form? What is the plan of Halores, the Charlotte Halle clone who now has an army of androids ready to annihilate humans? Will Enguerraund Serac be there after being defeated? The machine may have turned off, but its corpse was not shown on screen, which may suggest a possible return... What will be the fate of Maeve and Caleb, this new shock duo? Here is a non-exhaustive list of avenues that season 4 will have to explore to provide the answers that we are impatiently awaiting.
