Netflix has confirmed a season 2 for the teen drama series. The actors have just wrapped filming in Charleston, South Carolina. Release date, plot, here's what we know about season 2 of Outer Banks!
Outer Banks is a series that tells the story of a socio-economic war between the elite Kooks and the Pogues led by John B. The series is set in the region of North Carolina known as the Outer Banks. The plot? John B's father has mysteriously disappeared while looking for $400 million worth of gold, lost at sea in a shipwreck. The Pogues eventually find the treasure as the bodies pile up around them…
The 10-episode series ends with John B. being falsely accused of killing Ward's father . The last scene shows him getting on a boat with his girlfriend and being chased by the police!
In July, a few months after the series was released, Netflix announced that season 2 was on the way. Today, in a tweet posted on April 8 on the FR Twitter account from Netflix, they announced the closure Outer Banks Season 2! And cast members, Chase Stokes (John B), Madelyn Cline (Sarah Cameron), Madison Bailey (Kie), Jonathan Daviss (Pope), Rudy Pankow (JJ), Austin North (Topper), Drew Starkey (Rafe), Deion Smith (Kelce) and Charles Esten (Ward Cameron) are all set to return for Season 2!
The broadcast should take place in the summer of 2021! In the meantime, you can always (re)discover season 1 still present on Netflix.

An actress from the series Lost , should integrate season 2 of the Netflix series.Elizabeth Mitchell , known for playing the iconic role of Juliet Burke . Confident and courageous, she will spice up the plot.

The actors also posted photos on Instagram from Barbados, in the Caribbean , showing that they shot some scenes there. Why the Bahamas? Simply because John B. and Sarah are on their way to try and get the gold!
More romance in Season 2! Fans love to follow the romance between John B. and Sarah. Moreover, the couple is also dating outside the series! For season 2, viewers can expect more romance in the second season between the two characters, a Bonnie and Clyde duet !
From an interview Madelyn gave to Entertainment Tonight (an American celebrity news show) last November, the second season will start with a “micro time jump!” . What give us more information on the history of the treasure and the characters. We can't wait!
