Well, fans of the famous Spanish series you can rejoice:Elite will return for a season 5! The production of this new season has even already started. Has the release date been announced? Do we know the cast? What will be the plots addressed by season 5 of Élite? We tell you everything.
Overall, Elite season 4 continues the development of existing storylines. But this season also focuses on the mysterious attack on a student transferred from London. This fourth season follows the life of the Commerford family. Benjamin, the family patriarch, now runs Las Encinas High School. It puts in place very strict rules. His children continue their acclimatization in their new community.
Manu Rios, an influencer, Carla Dìaz, an actress seen in the series El Principe and Martina Cariddi, are all part of the cast of this season. They interpret the Commerford siblings. We take pleasure in welcoming these new faces, who give us a good performance throughout the 8 episodes that make up this season 4.
So what did viewers think of this season? The reviews were rather mixed. Season 4 of Elite obtains a rating of 3.3 on Allociné. For comparison, Seasons 2 and 3 were rated 4.2.
Why were critics harsher on the final season? Quite simply because season 4 of Elite has... too much sex. This was not to everyone's taste, especially since some critics felt that these (too recurrent) sexual scenes intervened to the detriment of the plots. These are left out to provide more intimate scenes with the cast of the series.
And the actors in all this? What do they think? Were some sequences difficult to shoot? Absolutely not, assures Manu Ríos, who plays Patrick. Confiding in a Spanish media, the latter told how the actors hide their gender during the filming of the hot scenes. This is rather unexpected...
We have good news and bad news, where do we start?
The bad news is that we don't know the release date of Elite Season 5. And since Season 4 has only been available on Netflix since last Friday, it's speculated that the next season won't arrive until... the summer of 2022 at least. We know, yes, it is long. You will have to be patient to find out what happened to Guzmán, Ander, Omar, Rebe, Caye and all the others...
And the good news in all of this? Rest assured, there are a few glimmers of hope. First of all, if Netflix did not give us a date, the platform warned us that the production of season 5 of Elite has started well. And that's still very cool!
Then, the streaming platform shared with us several announcements regarding the cast of season 5. Finally, the set photos give us some clues about the plots which will be discussed. There is no doubt that by the release of season 5, many theories will have flourished on the future of the high school students of Las Encinas!
Attention, big changes are getting ready on the casting side. Season 5 of Elite will be marked by the arrival of new characters, the departure of some and the return of emblematic characters who did not appear in season 4. We take stock.
It's official:the cast of Elite season 5 will welcome new actors, at least three. We will therefore see on screen the Argentine actress Valentina Zenere, revealed in the series Soy Luna and André Lamoglia, seen in Juacas . They are delighted! Valentina Zenere shared her joy on Instagram:“What a pleasure to join this team. Thank you, thank you, thank you Netflix!”
André Lamoglia also wanted to share his joy on Instagram:“Very happy to be part of the Elite! I have never been so excited to start classes haha. See you in Las Encinas!” .
They will play the roles of Gonzalo and Sofia, new students at Las Encinas. No more is known about their characters at this point.
Finally, on the arrivals side, Netflix gave a nod to its fans in France. Season 5 of Elite marks the arrival of French actor Adam Nourou. Already seen in Turf by Fabien Onteniente, this 18-year-old actor received the prize for best male hope for her role in Adù by Salvador Calvo.
The young actor will play a certain Eric of whom nothing is known yet. He is also very enthusiastic about joining the adventure:“Hi friends. It is with great pride and joy that I announce that I am joining Elite Season 5. Many thanks to Netflix”.
Remember, many actors left the series after season 3 of Elite:Ester Exposito (Carla), Danna Paola (Lucrecia), Mina El Hammani (Nadia), Jorge Lopez (Valerio) and Alvaro Rico (Polo). You would like some of them to return in season 5? Well… it is possible, if we are to believe what Danna Paola said in an interview before the broadcast of season 4:
We would also be very happy to see her again, that goes without saying!
Ouch, these departures will affect more than one… It's because they are real Elite's key players. Itzan Escamilla (Samuel) and Omar Ayuso (Omar) are about to say goodbye to the series that has carried them all these years.
Netflix has no official announcement yet regarding their departures, but it should only be a matter of time. Itzan Escamilla indeed said:
As for Omar Ayuso, he said he had "changed and grown" since season 1 of Elite. Understand:“I have other desires now”.
Note that season 5 of Elite could also mark the departures of Aron Piper (Ander) and Miguel Bernardeau (Guzman). These two indeed go on a trip at the end of season 4. We remember that Omar encourages Ander to go abroad. Guzman prefers to leave Spain in order to be a little forgotten. Given what happened with Armando, we understand...
The plot of season 5 of Elite remains a mystery to this day... We know, however, that there will again be a death!
This announcement comes to us from Gossip Netflix. The Instagram account has indeed revealed several photos of filming, including one showing Omar Ayuso and Adam Nourou pulling a body out of the water. Adam Nourou also posted the photo of the script for episode 4 on his story. It is titled… “The Body”.
